Lotus Notes
Ever since its initial release in 1989, Lotus Notes has had a dominant position in the groupware market. As early as 1991, Lotus Notes was already miles ahead of the competition in regards to network-based communications.
Even today, IBM's Lotus Notes is still setting the bar high for the competition. Features like db replication, a unique security model and enterprise integration possibilities are still unparalleled today.
Palantir has been developing in Lotus Notes since release 4.5. The birth of the Domino server allowed us to start creating intranet/internet applications next to native Lotus Notes db's. We've grown with the product and worked with all releases from 4.5 up to 8.5.1.
We've come a long way since the form-only, pre-pages days. Nowadays the developers palette has increased significantly. Creating cutting edge web 2.0 applications using the latest technology can all be done with Lotus Notes/Domino.
The latest addition XPages, which uses JSf and the Dojo toolkit on the server, gives the developer yet another way to satisfy the customer.
